Phil Lockyer RIP
Really sad news that Phil Lockyer passed away on Sunday 15th July after losing his battle against stomach cancer.
Phil was not only a great player at East Preston but a qualified coach and club groundsman.
Phil was the first qualified coach at East Preston and spent considerable time coaching the younger players before he moved to his role working with John Barclay at Arundel Castle. Plenty of past and present East Preston players benefited from his coaching, experience and knowledge of the game.
Phil was a top man with a great sense of humour who loved his cricket - especially Surrey!
He will be missed and the club would like to send their condolences to his wife Pat and family.
Funeral will take place 3.00pm Thursday 26th July at Worthing Crematorium
A minute silence will be held before all senior cricket games this week.
